Terms of Service
Effective June 25, 2026
These terms are the agreement between you and Quantitio for using our service. We have written them to be fair and readable. They are still a legal agreement, so we have been specific where it matters.
Before anything else, the promise that shapes everything here: your reflections are yours. What you write and how you answer stays private to you. Church leaders only ever see anonymous, grouped trends across the whole body, and only for groups of five or more. They never see your individual answers or any one person's results.
Quantitio is operated from California, United States. When we say "Quantitio," "we," or "us," we mean the company that operates this service. When we say "you," we mean the person or organization using it. By creating an account or using Quantitio, you agree to these terms.
What Quantitio is
Quantitio is a web application for churches. Members create an account and periodically take a "reflection" — a gentle self-assessment of their spiritual walk against their church's membership covenant. We sometimes describe it as an annual physical for the soul.
Each member sees a private dashboard of their own results. Church leaders see only aggregated, de-identified trends across the congregation, and only for groups of five or more members. Any group smaller than five is hidden. Leaders never see an individual member's answers.
Quantitio is a tool for reflection and shepherding. It is not a substitute for pastoral care, counseling, medical advice, or professional help, and nothing in it is a clinical or diagnostic assessment.
Who may use Quantitio
Quantitio is intended for adult church members and church leaders. You must be old enough to enter a binding agreement where you live to create an account.
The service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
If you use Quantitio on behalf of a church or organization, you confirm you are authorized to agree to these terms for that organization.
Accounts
To use most of Quantitio, you need an account. You agree to give accurate information and to keep it current. You are responsible for what happens under your account, so please keep your password to yourself.
We protect your account with care on our side: passwords are stored as a secure bcrypt hash, and the plaintext password is never kept. Even so, please use a strong password and let us know promptly if you believe your account has been used without your permission.
Some members join through an invitation from their church. Accepting an invitation creates your account and links it to that church.
- Keep your login details confidential.
- Tell us at support@quantitio.com if you suspect unauthorized access.
- One account is for one person; please do not share logins.
The church, the member, and Quantitio
Quantitio sits between three parties, and it helps to be clear about each one.
Your church is the community that invites you and that receives the de-identified aggregates. Your church decides who to invite, sets the covenant that the reflection is built around, and cares for its members.
You, the member, take the reflections and own what you write. Your reflections are private to you.
Quantitio is the service provider. We store and process the data on the church's and the member's behalf, and we run the software that makes all of this work. We act on instructions from the church and the member; we are not the author of your church's covenant or its pastoral decisions.
Acceptable use
Quantitio is meant to be used honestly, gently, and for its purpose. Our Acceptable Use Policy describes what is and is not allowed in more detail, and it is part of these terms by reference. Please read it.
In short, do not misuse the service, do not try to break its security or its privacy safeguards, do not try to identify individual members from aggregate data, and do not use it to harm or harass anyone. We may act on violations as described in our Acceptable Use Policy and in the suspension and termination section below.
Your reflections and content
You own your reflections. Your covenant self-assessment answers, any private journal reflections, and any growth step you choose belong to you. We do not claim ownership of them.
To run the service, you grant Quantitio a limited, non-exclusive license to store, process, and display your reflections back to you, and to keep them secure. This license exists only so we can provide the service to you. It ends when you delete the content or your account, except where we must briefly retain something to meet a legal obligation.
Your individual reflections are never shown to church staff and are never included in any individual-level form in the aggregates a church sees. Church leaders receive only de-identified, grouped trends, and only for groups of five or more.
We do not sell or rent your personal information. We do not use member data for advertising. We do not use your reflections to train AI. The only place we use AI is internally, to generate Quantitio's own marketing and brand imagery, and no member data is ever sent to any AI provider.
Plans, trials, and billing
Quantitio offers a free trial and paid plans for churches. The free trial lets a church spin up a private space and invite a limited number of members at no cost and without a card on file. Trials are provided as a courtesy and may have limits we set, and we may end or change a trial at our discretion.
We do not publish public pricing. Paid plans are quoted to each church as a per-member rate agreed together. To get a quote, a church can request a quotation through the site.
Paid plans are billed directly, by invoice, on the terms set out in the church's quote. Quantitio does not collect card details in the app and does not use an online payment processor.
Unless a written quote or order says otherwise, fees are charged as agreed, taxes are the church's responsibility where they apply, and paid amounts are non-refundable except where required by law.
Availability and "as is"
We work hard to keep Quantitio running well, but we provide it "as is" and "as available." We do not promise it will always be uninterrupted, error-free, or available at any particular moment.
To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties that are not expressly stated here, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
We may update, change, or retire features over time as we improve the service.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Quantitio will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, or loss of goodwill, arising out of or relating to your use of the service.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount the church paid us for the service in the twelve months before the claim, or one hundred US dollars if no fees were paid.
Some laws do not allow certain limitations, so some of these may not apply to you. In that case, our liability is limited as much as the law allows.
Indemnity
If your misuse of Quantitio, or your violation of these terms or of the law, leads to a claim against us by someone else, you agree to cover the reasonable costs we incur in defending that claim, to the extent the claim is caused by what you did. We will tell you promptly about any such claim and let you take part in the defense.
Suspension, termination, and account deletion
You may stop using Quantitio at any time. The app supports self-service account deletion, which removes your personal data and your reflections. A church may also end its plan as agreed in its quote.
We may suspend or end access if these terms or the Acceptable Use Policy are violated, if it is needed to protect members or the service, or if required by law. Where it is reasonable to do so, we will give notice and a chance to put things right.
When an account or a church's plan ends, access to the service ends. We will delete or de-identify personal data as described in our Privacy Policy, except where we must keep something to meet a legal obligation.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as Quantitio grows or as the law changes. When we make a material change, we will update the effective date and, where appropriate, let you know in the app or by email.
If you keep using Quantitio after a change takes effect, that means you accept the updated terms. If you do not agree, you can stop using the service and delete your account.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules.
